At the end of last week, a parcel was delivered to me here in Canada, from Portland, Oregon U.S.A.
It was from
Jennifer of
"PLUSHPUSSYCAT".
I HAD WON FIRST PRIZE IN HER MOST RECENT GIVEAWAY!
( HOOORAY FOR ME!!!! :D )
Inside was one of Jennifer's cute custom cards and a lovely hand-written note. It was such a pleasure to read and I thoroughly enjoyed it, Thank You Jennifer. :)) Of course, there was also a little box of goodies that I couldn't wait to open and see!
|
Jennifer, had packaged everything very neatly inside and into groups and the first things I saw were some sweet little tea towels. I have taken everything out so that you can see them better.
How Exciting! |
|
I LOVE THESE LITTLE POUND CAKES! Jennifer has forwarded a lovely little china cake stand and a little glass pitcher that has a really delicate and pretty shape but is very difficult to photograph well, and also two little cookbooks entitled "Home Baking Made Easy" and "Vintage Cakes" Two thumbs up! |
|
Here again are the pound cakes, and an ADDITIONAL tiny extra gooey chocolate cake, now sitting on a white and red polka dot doily. There is also a serving of some cute iced chocolate brownies. There were 4 brownies until one of them decided to disappear and take a short walk as I took this picture. I guess it wanted to have a quick look around my studio, ....
but now, ( gratefully), he is back on the plate again. :))
There is also, as you can see, a small pink lace trimmed tea towel, and a tin heart- shaped cookie cutter.... So cute!
It is all displayed on a larger square-cut paper doily of rosey pink with white polka dots which makes such a charming "girly" presentation;
wouldn't you agree? |
|
I just love how Jennifer has made these two little cakes! I think it is so delightful to have them wrapped in a thin strip of parchment paper and then tied so prettily with the red string. It is such a wonderful FINISHING TOUCH
And I should mention that the icing on both of the cakes is Mouth-wateringly PERFECT! |
|
Inside the box there is also 5 assorted Vintage Style tea towels. Two of the tea towels are tied together with more red string and a pretty little bow. This tiny detail makes a world of difference and I KNOW THAT TYING THAT BOW WAS NOT THAT EASY! our big fingers always get in the way (smiles) |
|
And a Nativity scene ( joy to the world! ) |
|
Jennifer also sent along a package of white paper roses, a tiny church and a baby doll. Funny enough, I had, ( not long ago) completely depleted my package of paper roses and couldn't find any more so this new delivery will come in handy right away!
Good Timing Jennifer! |
|
And at the very bottom of the box were these..... 7 Stunning Vintage Perfume Labels (How did she know.....?!!!!) LOVE THEM :D |
|
SO A BIG THANK YOU to PLUSHPUSSYCAT! THESE GIFTS ARE PURRRR-FECT AND FOR ME, THEY'RE TRULY CAT'S MEOOOOW! :D

Hi Jane! It is Great to be missed; Thank You! As it happens the OL' MOJO is back in town for another quick visit and I'm not sure just how long she is staying this time, so I have been "entertaining" her in my doll's house kitchen. This kitchen has been such a struggle as EVERYTHING IS when you measure once and have to cut 20 times, but there has been some progress so I should have something to show again by the end of this week.... For Sure.
DeleteMeanwhile, I had to put my regular blog visits on hold so that I could stay focused on the reno, but that will change and I will be up and running and paying my regular house calls once again before this weekend!
So Sorry Jane, for my long absence but ALL IS WELL over here; just trying to strike whilst the iron is HOT as inspiration gets LUKEWARM very quickly these days, especially when the OL' MOJO just UPs and packs her bags and leaves, without notice.
Whoooooa,..... I better go..... she is almost out the Door!!!! NOOOOOOOOO..........
Haha! Run like the wind with that inspiration!, I know too well about being down in the snowy dumps of blah!
DeleteWe few blog folk are here to the long haul so a bit of absence only makes the fondness grow ;)
She left her shoe I think..!!
Congratulations Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteJennifer is a very sweet Blogfriend :)
Hugs

Hi Ilona! I've missed you too! :))
DeleteI've been busy with the doll's house kitchen and searching for inspiration to keep me motivated. I know that I've neglected my friends in the process but that is correcting itself even now. Kitchen isn't finished but at least it is FINALLY STARTED, and I will show the results soon.
Meanwhile enjoy these wonderful gifts from Jennifer. She is such a generous lady and really does spoil us with her talent and creativity. :))
elizabeth

Lucky you receiving such a lovely parcel. Clearly a lot of thought has been put into it's presentation making it doubly special. The heart filled cakes caught my eye immediately and I love the vintage cookbooks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous and beautiful gift. I confess to falling into seeing the two cakes at the top of your piece and thought "That's a bit confusing putting real cakes there" - really I did. They are just edible. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteOh, Wow!!! So many wonderful things you've got there from Jennifer!!! She is very thoughtful and it's absolutely kind of her to add all those lovely items and miniatures to your win!! She is a friend to treasure, always giving!! It's so nice to see you back posting on your blog, Elizabeth. Sometimes I get worried when somebody stays away for long time even if I understand that a person might have something to do in real life that takes the time away from blogging and your dedication to blog friends. Anyway, I knew everything was OK when you came to leave that lovely, warm and friendly comment on my blog. I did notice you weren't around and I really appreciated that you took the time to "talk" to me and to give me your advice and your wishes....it did feel like a hug from you!! Thank you so much for your encouragement on not giving up on the berries, on your YAHOO! for me starting work and for the good wishes for my sister. And thanks a million for the tip on the websites! I knew the one from Kopilka but didn't know the one from About.com and you are absolutely right.....I should just try and try again until I get it right. Really looking forward to your next post......"Show me your magic, lady"!! Big hug Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteКакие аппетитные сладости!!!! ням, ням!!! Дженнифер большой мастер по сладким деликатесам!!!!
